10 Million. That’s how many hybrids Toyota has sold globally since the original launch of the Toyota Prius. That number, which hit 9 million total only last April, includes three million units sold by Toyota Motor North America alone by the end of 2016. It is also a victory for the reduction in CO2 emission. According to toyotanews.pressroom.toyota.com, “as of January 31, Toyota estimates that the use of Toyota’s hybrid vehicles, as an alternative to conventional gasoline-powered vehicles of similar size and driving performance has resulted in approximately 77 million fewer tons of CO2 emissions and has saved approximately 7.66 billion gallons of gasoline.” But beyond the environmental benefit, it’s so surprise to us that drivers would pick our hybrids just because they’re great cars on their own, but if you would like to understand why our hybrids are so popular, contact us on our website, or come in and test drive one yourself.
